[FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS]

Have a question?

01Do I need a medical prescription for a consultation?

A medical prescription is required for services reimbursed by basic LAMal insurance. No prescription is needed for private sessions or sessions covered by supplementary insurance. If in doubt, contact us and we will guide you to the option that best suits your situation.

02Which insurers do you accept?

PhysioForma is recognised by the main Swiss health insurers under LAMal, as well as by SUVA and other LAA insurers for occupational and non-occupational accidents. We also work with LCA supplementary insurers. We recommend checking your cover with your insurer before your first session.

03How long does a session last?

A standard session lasts about 30 minutes. Depending on your condition and the treatment plan set by your therapist, some sessions may be extended to 45 or 60 minutes.

04What should I bring to my first appointment?

For your first appointment, please bring your medical prescription (if applicable), your insurance card, any relevant medical documents (X-rays, MRI scans, specialist reports) and comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being treated.

05What happens at the first session?

The first session is a full assessment. Your therapist will take the time to listen to you, assess your condition and work with you to set up a personalised treatment programme. It is a time to talk, so feel free to ask any questions.

06Do you offer home visits?

Yes. For patients with reduced mobility, we offer home sessions in Ecublens, Lausanne and the surrounding area. Contact us directly to arrange your first home visit.

07Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule. Sessions cancelled without sufficient notice may be charged. Your time is valuable, and so is ours.

08Do you speak languages other than French?

Yes. Our team speaks Italian, French, English and Spanish fluently, and we are happy to welcome patients of all nationalities.
